Don't Die - a intense platformer

I am about to submit my first App tomorrow. This is my first Corona game, and actually my first game ever. I decided about 3 months ago that i could make a good game if i really put my mind to it, and i found Corona.

My only background in programing before this was learning some MSDoS basic 13 years ago, and learning some Flash a few years back. It took a couple weeks to get my head around some of the basics of LUA, but after i figured everything out it was very easy.

Hi!

I bought this game but can’t get thru the tutorial.
When I get to the buzz saw and tap to jump, I go up in the air and straight down. I can’t figure out how to jump diagonally onto the platform.

Hold the iphone like a xbox joystick.

Use one thumb to move on the left of the screen. You can use anywhere on the left, and use anywhere on the right of the screen to tap and jump

its multitouch,so you move and jump at the same time.

I could have left the actual joystick picture on screen as well as a button, but i don’t want them getting in the way of actual gameplay.

I just found out that Don’t Die was just featured in “New & Noteworthy” under Adventure (US App Store). Thanks to Carlos for sending me a email to inform me about this.
