Doodle Dash! 1.2 - New Update - Promo Codes

Hello everyone,

First of all, thanks for all your support with the release of Doodle Dash! 1.1, it had a great response. Immediately after it was approved, I got to work on version 1.2 (and then Dragon’s Keep which is ‘Waiting for Review’ at the moment). Well, 1.2 is out and I have some more promo codes for those who missed them last time.

Also, PLEASE take a moment to leave a rating/review if you take a promo code. If you’ve left a rating/review for the last version, thanks, I hope you’ll leave a rating/review for THIS version as well! I need as many as I can get… and NO I’m not asking for 5 stars, only if you like it that much :slight_smile:

What’s New in Version 1.2?

  • Performance-related enhancements for even smoother gameplay! (due to using Alpha 3 instead of 2)
  • Graphical changes/improvements for a better visual experience!
  • Changed game background to off-white for easier viewing (as opposed to bright white)
  • Added more sound fx and increased the quality of game music track (which now defaults to OFF but can be easily switched on with a touch)
  • Added 3 New Enemies: Bushes, Snakes, and the Hole of Death!
  • Adjusted game speed settings and gem scoring for better score balance
  • You now earn even MORE points for surviving longer!
  • Added more gems and increased their score value!
  • Added a “best score” to the game-over screen for those who don’t want to use OpenFeint.

UPDATE:

Doodle Dash! went back to paid status today and…

When Doodle Dash! was released with GameSalad (v1.0) I would type ‘doodle’ into the AppStore search engine to see where my game ranked because I knew that was a VERY popular keyword (hence all the “doodle” games out there).

Fast forward to today… (Doodle Dash! 1.2, made with Corona is out and just ended a major promotion)

Biffy (my wife) typed “doodle” into the AppStore search engine (on device), Doodle Dash! appeared on the #3 spot! (just two under Doodle Jump, which everyone knows is a major hit).

That’s pretty exciting for us, and since this is the Doodle Dash! thread, just thought I’d share that with everyone, to remind you that it’s VERY MUCH possible to create a game that does very well in the AppStore using the Corona SDK! (none of the work my wife and I do towards our games are outsourced, so more motivation for those with lower budgets).
