Ok so I am building an app right now similar to pokemon go. I want to use google maps but I know you cant draw over the maps due to openGL or whatever. I want to be able to draw rectangles onto the map and such. I read that you can use the google maps api and use a web view. How exactly would I do that?

UPDATE: I have found a tutorial on how to implement it via webview. But my new question is how do I use the google apis like adding custom places and such.
