hi everybody! i have a game with SD graphics (iPhone 3) which are scaled using “letterbox” when running on the iPhone 4 and 4s. It runs pretty smooth in the iPhone 3 and iPhone 4s, but lags a LOT on the iPhone 4. Could it be that working with iPhone3 scaled graphics affects the performance on the iPhone 4, but not on the iPhone 4s because of it’s improved processor?? The iPhone 3G/3GS has less kick than that 4 - is there a chance that 4 was just running a whole lot of apps already when you tested? [import]uid: 52491 topic_id: 29367 reply_id: 118057[/import]
Possibly. I’m having some pretty serious framerate issues right now on the 4 as well though, and it’s not a letterbox scaling issue. So I want to say yes, but… [import]uid: 41884 topic_id: 29367 reply_id: 118058[/import]
Thank you both for your replies!
@Peach
Nope, i checked that nothing else was running

I tried changing some of the graphics to HD and it seems it started working better. Are you having trouble with HD or SD resources? [import]uid: 105206 topic_id: 29367 reply_id: 118063[/import]
Both. Lengthy post about it in this thread; basic gist is that performance seems fine when you tap, falls off sharply when you drag. [import]uid: 41884 topic_id: 29367 reply_id: 118066[/import]
