Editor crashes immediately, prevents saving, and uses 100% CPU

Getting Started Newbie Questions

Hi all! New here and having a major problem!

Everything was working fine, using Corona with sublime text and launching it from there, but randomly it just stopped working. I did not change anything in my code. When I tried to run the game through Sublime, the simulator would not open, like it normally does.  Anything I printed to the console printed, and it seems like Sublime thinks its running.  In task manager it says its running and is using up over 90% CPU (sometimes 100), and I have a pretty powerful computer.  When I open the SDK app separately from Sublime, if I click on anything in the welcome screen, the window goes to half size then freezes.

Then, when I try to save my code in sublime, I get an error saying it’s in use in another process and I can’t save. 

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, multiple versions (including the latest daily build, 3179)  and still didn’t fix it.

Any help would be most appreciated, and if you need any more info, don’t hesitate to ask :slight_smile:

Have you tried to reinstall Sublime? 

Have you debugged recently? Maybe some debug process is still alive.

Weird…

Have you tried to restart PC and open project within Simulator?

Looks like Sublime start yourself even you don’t touch it.

Yes, I have tried both multiple times to no avail.

Do you try uninstall others plugins from Sublime? Maybe they use the same key shortcuts.

Did you reinstall Sublime in the same folder?

Lucky shot: Try install latest graphic drivers or scan hard drive:)

I cleared everything, reinstalled everything and the same thing happens.  No updated graphics drivers either…
Unrelated, I’m actually sending in my laptop for repair (different issue), so hopefully having a clean install of Windows after will help…
