I read the page http://www.coronalabs.com/store/corona-for-education/ but it only says about collage students and not elementary and I am still in the last year of elementary so does that mean I cant get my own corona sdk until next year because I am using my brothers account to use but would like my own too because he wants to put his on his laptop and you are only allowed two computers?
I know I ask a lot of questions today thank you if anyone can help with any of them I am trying to learn. [import]uid: 211931 topic_id: 35979 reply_id: 335979[/import]
Hey Bud. Ask your questions away…
You are covered under this clause:
Students enrolled at an accredited primary or secondary school providing full-time instruction
Elementary schools are considered “primary” schools. High Schools would be “secondary” schools. [import]uid: 199310 topic_id: 35979 reply_id: 143054[/import]
Thank you rob but what does accredited mean do I have to prove something to corona to get the discount because our parents probably wont buy a second corona without the discount since my brother already has one? [import]uid: 211931 topic_id: 35979 reply_id: 143102[/import]
I’m confused as to why you both need subscriptions? Just sign up for the trial version with a different email and if you ever finish an app use his account for the final build? [import]uid: 93133 topic_id: 35979 reply_id: 143105[/import]
@bud.hooke most public schools are accredited. There may be some private schools that are not but most are. So you should be good. The requirements for ID are listed on that page. I think we need to see an ID of some sort. Emailing sales AT coronlabs DOT com can get you the best info on it.
Nick, if he wants to use daily builds, he would need a subscription that the trial won’t give him.

I don’t have an id for school my brother does but he is in college and 14 can I use his that he used for his corona and what exactly are daily builds is that for my app to be allowed to build each day? [import]uid: 211931 topic_id: 35979 reply_id: 143147[/import]
There are several ways to prove your a student. They are all listed in the education document:
Students who are under 18 and do not have a valid photo ID may provide an official letter from their eligible educational institution stating their name and current enrollment status.
If you don’t know what daily builds are, then you are probably not using them and don’t need to worry about them. Daily builds are new versions of Corona SDK that we put out every few days that have new features and bug fixes. You have to download a new version of the software and install it. These builds are only available to paid subscribers. [import]uid: 199310 topic_id: 35979 reply_id: 143254[/import]
Hi rob thanks who would I ask for a letter from school from and with daily builds I need to build daily but often when I try to build it does not work but then later it does work so daily builds would fix that and are these daily builds allowed for developers with student corona only? [import]uid: 211931 topic_id: 35979 reply_id: 143389[/import]
Your parents should be able to get you the proof you need.
As for daily builds, it doesn’t matter how often you build, this doesn’t impact your ability to build 50 times a day or 1 time a week. Daily builds are just new versions of Corona that you can download that has bug fixes and new features that we put out before we make the next stable/public build.
