Emulating a Eraser

I’m pretty sure the answer to this is either “Yea, good luck with that Buddy!” or side splitting laughter to this question.

I have two images, one that I eventually want to show and a second image setting above it that is hiding the image below it. I want the user to use their eraser to erase the top image with their eraser revealing the image under it.

I know Corona does not offer me the ability to actually erase it, but I’ve seen hints to dynamic masks. I could have a mask that I paint black on that would then reveal what is under it.

A second problem would be to know when I’ve erased the whole thing, but I have to work out the first problem first.

Any one with some creative solutions to this?

@sharp1959 That has some possibilities, but my top image isn’t solid or tileable so I’m not sure how well that will work. Thanks for the hint. I could split the image into a grid of smaller images and when my brush hits that cell remove it.
