I’m working on a pseudo-3d side scrolling beat em up, and I’m having some issues with enemy movement, it’s mostly melee based so I need the enemy to track the player in a realistic manner, much like castle crashers. That style of movement would be great! I’ve tried using the fin module here on the website, it seemed to work OK, but it’s a bit too “mirror” for my liking, i need something a bit more realistic. Tried using transitions with timers, timers with straight x and y movement. Nothing seems to work like it needs to. Anyone have any suggestions for this type of movement. The idea is to get enemy movement like castle crashers, i’ve played it and watched gameplay videos and it appears the Y axis is mirrored almost identical to the player, but the X axis seems to have some hiccups that give it a life like feel, allowing the player to outrun enemies and some what make it not appear that they are just shadowing. I hope you guys follow and can help me out! [import]uid: 110229 topic_id: 30553 reply_id: 330553[/import]
I would love to do a demo for you with something like Streets Of Rage style enemies. Unfortunately I don’t have the time for a while.
I would love to see a similar kind of game be made with Corona. [import]uid: 84637 topic_id: 30553 reply_id: 122446[/import]
Well, Thanks anyway, I’ll keep looking around and tinkering until I find something that works for me.
Anyone else have any suggestions or help? [import]uid: 110229 topic_id: 30553 reply_id: 122453[/import]
