Enterprise: Export Corona project as .jar/.a file for use in Android/iPhone project

Hello,

We need to export Corona / Lua functionality as .jar / .a file for use on Android / iPhone native project of a client that does not have and does not want Corona SDK / Enterprise.

We have readed the official documentation and am not sure how to get this done. We have a valid Corona Enterprise license for 1 year acquired about three weeks ago but do not see how this is possible.

Our application uses Lua local notification system (not push)

We have some questions:

  1. Is this possible at all using only Corona Enterprise? If yes, how?

  2. Is this possible using only Corona Cards? (here we have seen how to do it on the docs)

  3. Is there some possibility of changing a valid Corona Enterprise license to one Android Corona Cards license and one iPhone Corona Cards license? (of course, paying difference, some penalization, etc. but without paying the full price of the three licenses when we no longer require Corona Enterprise for next 11 months).

  4. Can we use at all the Corona local notification system or have we the need to make it native on Android / iPhone when the main app is not Corona? If yes, how?

  5. Is there some difference between Android and iPhone in the possibility of doing this?

I am only asking for some advice, not technical specific instructions. For the questions about how a link to the relevant doc would be more than enough.

Thank you very much in advance,

Javier.

Corona Enterprise is about adding native things to a Corona/Lua project. CoronaCards on the other hand is about adding Corona Features to an existing native app. What you’re describing, an existing native app that needs a Corona View is a job for CoronaCards.

You can email support@coronalabs.com and ask them about converting the licenses. I don’t know what the answer will be, but it seems like a reasonable request. But it may be a moot point. The docs say that notification.* is not supported in CoronaCards. Notifications are in the class of things that can easily be done in native space.
