Enterprise: Get Flurry out of Core ASAP, please

Your integration of Flurry makes it problematic, if not impossible, to implement AppCircle. Please remove it from core asap, we need to get AppCirle working. Or, if you know how to fix it, post a code snippet that makes it possible to integrate AppCircle. You need the 4.1 SDK in core. [import]uid: 21746 topic_id: 35248 reply_id: 335248[/import]

Haakon,

Just to let you know, Flurry is excluded from Android by default for Corona Enterprise builds. You have to opt-in to using it by dragging and dropping the “FlurryAgent.jar” file to your Android app project’s “libs” directory. The “analytics-flurry.jar” file that you see int the Corona library project for Android is just a Corona plugin (which is a small interface) to the “FlurryAgent.jar” file and doesn’t do anything flurry related until you “require” analytics in Lua. Your Android app will actually crash if you attempt to use Flurry without including the FlurryAgent.jar file, which is the expected behavior.

On iOS, you’re right, Flurry is included by default on Corona Enterprise and you can’t remove it. We’re actually actively looking into changing this for iOS on Corona Enterprise. The plan is to make it a plugin that you have to opt-in to, just like Android. I don’t know the ETA, but I know our iOS team has been talking about this issue this week. Yup, Joshua, the problem is with iOS. We’ve already implemented Flurry AppCircle on Android. Please let the right people know it has been asked for on the forums. If the plugin development is as easy for you as it is for us, it’s about 15 minutes of work. You even have the code, it’s just a matter of moving it into a plugin. [import]uid: 21746 topic_id: 35248 reply_id: 140199[/import]

Hi Haakon,

We have moved Flurry into a plugin with the ability to opt-in for iOS usage in Corona Enteprise build 1016.

I’ve been unable to get Flurry to work in Android Enterprise. I keep getting WARNING: The ‘analytics’ library is not available on this platform. when I try to logEvent.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve been beating my head against this for weeks. [import]uid: 122310 topic_id: 35248 reply_id: 143336[/import]
