Version 1.3

Enviro is a code library for creating spectacular environmental effects including snow, rain, lightning, clouds, fog, planet transitions, fireflies, aircrafts, comets and other projectiles with vapor trails and much more.  NEW in version 1.3 are Drips, Splattering, Blinkers, Wind Direction, Smokers, Aircraft Formations, Text FX and most elements can now be animations! Create a beautiful night-time sky with a full moon rising lazily in the distance, or even a poisonous green planet with deadly acid rain.  The system also incorporates a wind element that is tied to the rain, snow, etc as well as the volume of its assigned audio.  EnViRo also includes a background music channel!  There are endless possibilities with EnViRo.  The package also comes with the DevInformer library as well as a vector, math, FX, and Particle libraries!

Here are some scenes produced using EnViRo, but to REALLY see EnViRo in action, you need to head over and check out the 720p Videos!

Documentation?

I like to know how you use something before I get it

Why didn’t I think of that!  Check the website for some sample code. Thanks for the wake-up! \m/

Hey Tony, that’s look super! Did I miss the email DL link for version 1.3?

Thanks and congrats.

Mo.

ps: Any idea if you are going to write the same great doc about the OOP used in Space Invaders that you did on the use of Enviro? I want to dissect the code but it will be great to get a startup guide on how the Invaders code is setup.

Hey Mo!  I sent them all out.  I will send yours again to be sure.

I have started some documentation for the game code, and have incorporated the plan into a couple more that I am doing to have that available as well as the template. (I got the idea from you, actually)

Check your email in a few minutes.

Also, I am almost finished with the member login stuff.  Soon you will only have to log in to grab your updates… and some free stuff I have lined up.

Sorry! Sure enough I found the link in email. Thanks for the VERY fast support. Can’t wait for the doc! Thanks and sorry again. Mo

That is really cool! I’m designing a new game right now and if we decide to go in an “atmospheric” direction I’m grabbing that right away!

 Jay

PS - As far as that goes, I should probably grab it, anyway. I know I can find some good uses for it…

Hey!

Thanks a lot Jay!  It’s always nice to see something like this from your respected peers. Thank you. \m/

I hope you find it cool and I’m really looking forward to seeing the scenes you produce with it!
