ETA on Certified Devices List

In the recent Webcast you have mentioned you will release a list of Corona certified Android devices…

I’m planing to buy a Samsung Galaxy S as a testing device. So, any ETA for the list? Or may I simply ask if that device will be on the list? OR would you suggest a something different? [import]uid: 10478 topic_id: 6880 reply_id: 306880[/import]

I can tell you what I have tested on and works fine, and what has issues:

Works fine:
Samsung Galaxy I7500
Droid Eris
Acer E400
Nexus 1
HTC Hero
HTC Desire

Issues: ( Slow FPS on 1.6 or 2.0.1, FC on 2.2)
Nexus S
All Motorola Droid phones with >= 2.2
Afaik Galaxy S is similar to the Nexus S, so you might want to get someone to confirm first. But the issues is known and they should fix it soon. [import]uid: 8872 topic_id: 6880 reply_id: 24066[/import]

Thank you, that was really helpful.

I think I’ll wait a bit more to see Anscas list too before buying anything… [import]uid: 10478 topic_id: 6880 reply_id: 24243[/import]

Anyone tried the Ideos U8150? http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_u8150_ideos-3513.php

It’s ridiculously priced low from where I am (Manila, Philippines). I can get it for around $70 plus a $7/month plan for two years. My primary target platform is iOS, but at this price I might want to target Android as well.

If anyone has a bad experience with it (from a Corona SDK developer’s perspective) I’d be glad to hear it.

Thanks! [import]uid: 7026 topic_id: 6880 reply_id: 25250[/import]

Was this list ever even created? It’s July now. [import]uid: 69698 topic_id: 6880 reply_id: 44318[/import]

I think I’ve asked that before Ansca dropped support for older devices. Current requirements (2.2+ & ARMv7) almost the same as firefox mobile so you can use their list…
