event.isShake poorly detected on Android phone

Hi people,

I am testing shake code on Android Samsung 5.1.1

I have to shake phone like max power washing machine crazy to detect it :frowning:

Same code on iPhone 4S works great, shake is easily detected (gentle shake is detected).

1)Is there an alternate shake detection possible?
2) Some Android apps that I have on my phone require gentle shake. How did they achieve that (increase shake sensitivity)?

Many thanks!!!
G

It is hard to shake on Android as reported in the forums.

It could be a tuning issue. You could file a bug report on it.

Rob

Can other developers please check this?

You can simply build Corona Accelerometer sample app and test this on your phones!

Waiting your reply!
Thanks.
G

Feel free to use the sample app as the required bug submission.

@GOGI:

I have the same problem.

I can file a bug report, OK?

Ivan

Please do that!

Tnx

Guys,

I have tested this… and I do not think we should file a bug report.

Why?

Because on Android phones key is not in shaking it hard, key is to shake it with higher amplitudes comparing to iPhone.

Try it out yourself, shake it with low frequency but not hard (it will trigger).
