event named "cancelled"

I would suggest changing this to “canceled” instead of “cancelled”. Or offering both.

I don’t believe the rest of your documentation/website is using British English.

Regardless, pick one and stick with it.

I realize it would break a few apps, but better to break a few now than a lot later?

I guess living with an anomaly is also doable, but it was not so funny when I was pulling out my hair trying to figure out why I wasn’t getting a cancel event.

Of course, I would also point out that press is not pressed and release is not released, so perhaps cancelled should simply be cancel?

I suspect they are trying to be consistent with the Apple API:

http://developer.apple.com/iphone/library/documentation/UIKit/Reference/UIResponder_Class/Reference/Reference.html#//apple_ref/occ/instm/UIResponder/touchesCancelled:withEvent:

Wow.

Thanks for pointing that out. :frowning:

I retract my suggestion (even tho I still stick to concept).

Bad Apple!
