Every time corona updated, lots of android devices could not run the new apps.... WTF

It seems the compatibility issue become a headache work ~~~~

Can you provide more specifics?

Rob

I’m using the 2438, upgrading from 2189. then lots of my customs could not run the app after I publish the App built with 2438(I had to do this because the google IAP v3 issue.)

on iOS device. some iPad 1 custom fail to run the APP.

And I could see the supported devices become less than before when I using the 2438 version.

It’s not the first time for the compatibility issue. Almost every upgrade of corona, I would lost lots of old customer.

:frowning:

We’ve not changed the Android minimum support in a long time, like version 700 or earlier until around 2438 where we had to change the minimum from Android 2.2 to Android 2.3.3 because of a requirement by Google for AdMob and IAP.  Whenever we change this you are going to loose some devices.

On iOS this happens about every year as Apple only supports two previous versions of iOS and that usually knocks out a good bunch of older devices.
