So I’ve been looking into the expansion files for large apps. But everything I’ve found focuses on google play, their 50mb limit and how corona now auto builds expansion files for google play apps.
I can’t find any mention at all regarding Nook’s 100mb limitation and if the expansion files work there. My app is well above the 100mb limit, so I need to know how to handle my nook deploy. I don’t even know if nook supports expansion files, let alone corona on nook. But if it’s not supported, then what’s my options. My last game was published a year ago, before the expansion files were supported by corona. So I ended up splitting my game up into 3 separate chapter apps for nook and google play, but I don’t want to have to do that again if possible.
I don’t believe that Nook supports expansion files. All Nooks though (well at least the new ones should) can run Google Play, so Nook people can get apps from Google and this may be your option. Do you have content that could be pulled out and downloaded from a server somewhere?
