Experience with Gamesparks + Corona?

I am looking for a backend service for a turn based multiplayer game.

I am considering using www.gamesparks.com. They have a Corona SDK.

So I would like to ask if anyone have any experience or advise they would like to share?

Thanks

Hi

I’ve used Corona in the past for personal and work projects ,I am currently working at GameSparks.

I’ve used the SDK myself it is very easy to use and features all of the GameSparks features like challenges(including turn based), matches, leaderboards and a lot more.

It very easy to integrate and get started to see if it works for your game.

Cheers

They have a Corona SDK now? This changes everything… No more REST API for me!

I have had an excellent experience working with Gamesparks, even though I had been limited to the REST API. I highly recommend it!

Thanks. Yes they have a SDK for Corona. It looks very feature rich and also a bit overwhelming.

I can’t find any API docs for Lua though, but I guess it should be possible to figure out from the other languages documented there.

I will give it a try.

This sounds great. I had reached out a few months back and was told they don’t have support for Corona.

Ojnab, how did you get on in your attempts to look at this? I’d be keen to touch base with anyone interested in figuring out more on this. I’m looking a developing a realtime multiplayer game and I’ve successfully integrated with other platforms (AppWarp and Coronium when it was around) but the platforms let me down. I have high hopes for GameSpark.

Any advice on a starting point from those who have already used the service?

@Mike

I got caught up in a another project and haven’t had a closer look at implementing it yet.

I will post my experience when I get there. Please do the same if you get there before me

Sure, will do. For anyone interested, the below page made an interesting starting point. It’s minimal but certainly useful.https://docs2.gamesparks.com/getting-started/creating-a-game/corona-setup.html
