We are exploring the use of Corona SDK for the mobile apps portion of a midsize enterprise project. We need to use Google Maps (or another suitable map engine) as a backdrop and overlay network charts drawn from a SQL type database with some statistical analysis.
Has anyone developed an app that integrates information from a back end database and google maps (or other GIS/Mapping engines) using Corona SDK?
Sounds like you have an exciting project at hand. I know a number of us here have worked on apps that tie back in back end databases. I personally have not done anything that uses Google Maps or other GIS/Mapping engine but knowing what I know of Corona SDK I think that you can do it.
