Facebook SSO - any way to check if already logged in, without calling login

If you’ve already logged into Facebook, I’d like to leverage that the very first time you open my app. But if you’re not logged in, I don’t want it to automatically pop up the window asking you to log in - I’ll just not add the customization automatically, and give them a button if they WANT facebook

Is there any way to check if a user is logged into facebook in an ‘invisible’ way? If not - this would be immensely useful.
