Hi all,
I apologise in advance if this has already been brought up countless times, but i just couldn’t find the answers i was looking for.
As of right now…
local feedURL = "http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/world/europe/rss.xml"
local feedURL = "http://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user\_timeline.rss?screen\_name=stephenfry"
Both work perfectly with robs RSS parser (http://developer.anscamobile.com/code/rss-parser-take-two, thanks rob!), allowing me to get any twitter RSS information displayed, as well as news items.
BUT… this just doesnt work with facebook RSS feeds.
local feedURL = "https://www.facebook.com/feeds/page.php?id=XXXXXXXXXXXX&format=rss20"
I believe it’s to do with facebook checking to see if you are accessing the feed via an internet browser, if you arent, it just doesnt allow you to get the RSS feed. Can anyone confirm that?
I cant seem to find a way around this currently, and its starting to confuse my poor brain…
I can’t use the current fb login system for posting/receiving status’s because the feed i want to access is from a fan page, and i cant have the app logging into it…
So does anyone know how to access facebook’s RSS feed? Or have any other genius plan?
Any help or tips is much appreciated
