Feature Request: Access XIF data for photos taken with camera

This post explains it in detail but basically I need to find out the true orientation of photos that have been taken. The auto-rotation introduced in gen 4 makes camera useless from Corona. Once taken, you can never determine the way a photo should be reloaded.

I see this has been asked for previously and deemed a low priority. So I guess my real suggestion is better forum searching, LOL, no hits for EXIF at all. Only found the other posts via google after I posted this.

Anyway a previous poster mentioned TagMe lua library which doesn’t quite do it - so I guess I have to do it myself. But sure would be nice to eventually have Corona do all these EXIF manipulations natively.

I also need this feature. I was building my own exif reader based on Tagme but it wasn’t finished. I was able to load some data, if you are interested I will try to find the code and post it. Maybe someone will figure out the missing parts. [import]uid: 138389 topic_id: 35838 reply_id: 143897[/import]
