We’re currently developing a multiplayer game using Corona Cloud, and we’ve got a few suggestions / questions:
Cancel Random Match Request
Do random match requests timeout after being in the queue for a certain amount of time? If not, a cancel random match request feature would be great so that we can remove random match requests from the queue.
Without either of those two features a player could navigate away from the “Searching for opponent…” screen in our game which would leave an invalid match request in the queue, which might cause problems for the player that is eventually paired with that request?
Friends only L** eaderboard**
I’ve seen this feature requested by other forum users, and Mohamed has already commented saying it’s on the way, so I’ll just register our interest for this feature as well.
’** Send Friend **Request’ instead of 'Add Friend’
We’re curious to know why a player can add another player as a friend without first requesting that status, as is the case with services such as Steam, Facebook, etc.
With the current system, if two players want to become friends in the game, two separate transactions need to take place, ie, both players need to search for the other player and separately add them to their friends lists. But with friend requests, Player 1 would only need to search for Player 2 and send them a friend request to become friends, thus simplifying the process.
Friend requests would also prevent unwarranted spam between players, such as Player 1 adding 1000 players to his friends list that he doesn’t know, and then sending them game invites, messages, or whatever the game allows.
