February 1st Changes to iOs Submissions

I have an app which was successfully submitted through App Loader in December 2014, and will no longer upload (through application loader). I understand Apple now requires 64-bit and iOS 8 for new apps, and I wonder what updates must be made for those of us working on pre-Feb 2015 architecture.

There are two main questions:

  1. Do we just need to use the 2015.2545 Corona build, or are there other adjustments which must be made?
  2. A few have mentioned issues with Application Loader, and I’ve experienced the same. What’s the best way to submit applications now?

Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated - thanks for your time!

If you submitted in Dec 2014, then you should just be able to use the new build and submit like normal.

Thank you Rob

I’m afraid Application Loader no longer works - any suggestions? Error message attached.

I think if you were to provide more details you might have more success.

By providing details of your Operating system - ie Yos 10.10. ??? etc… and also Xcode … and application loader version …

It gives readers somewhere to start - perhaps they say hey i have exactly that setup and i am/am not having problems - which should ultimately help solve any problems you are having or get you closer to solving them.

Hi ToeKnee - thank you for the advice!

I’m running Yos 10.10.2 (14C109), Xcode Version 6.1.1 (6A2008a), and Application Loader 3 (have tried previous versions too - no luck).

Haven’t used Xcode for anything other than provisioning profile setup on devices, maybe there’s something there I’m missing…

This does not sound like a Corona issue.  One message says it can’t talk to the store, which could be a networking problem.  The other note, no software found, sounds like an Xcode setup issue.  Application loader is not unique to Corona nor do we use it in any way other than starting for you as a convenience.

Thank you Rob, will look into this elsewhere then and thanks for the guidance!

If anyone else has similar issues, I’ve started a thread on stackoverflow (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/28636162/application-loader-no-eligible-software) and will edit this post if I receive an answer which works
