few qustions before i start

I plan on making a multiplayer android game using the free corona but before i do i would like to ask a few questions.

1. Once my game is made can i sell it?

2. Can i have in game purchases(spend real money for in game currency)?

3. Do i need to pay any royaltys if money is made?

4. If i make more then 100k what happens?

1. Yes

2. Only with the Pro or Enterprise versions of Corona.  The free version doesn’t support In App Purchases.

3. No (if you mean to Corona Labs.  Yes to the 30% cut most App Stores take off the top before they pay you)

4.  I think it’s the honor system but you will be obligated to upgrade to at least Pro.  But if you make $100k you will be doing great and should be willing to pay $600 for the Pro license of the tool that helped get you there, right?

Thanks! I would definitely go pro right now if they offered a monthly bill cycle. $588 up front is just to much for me right now. So then i assume the only way to make any kind of money from the free version is to sell your app at a price or have ads?

Yes, you can sell your app at any price you want to set it at.  And while some of the Corona plugins only work using the Pro version I believe all of the ad plugins work using the Starter version as well.  As someone who’s paid for versions of Corona with lesser functionality than you now get for free I can tell you the Starter version is a great deal!
