Finally! CoronaSDK packages runs on the Android Emulator

Android SDK Tools r14 is released few days ago…

If you use Android 4.0 (API14), cpu is set to armeabi-v7a which is compatible with APK packages created with Corona!

I’ve just tested my app with it and it installed and ran just fine except few glitches I’m about to fix now…

Animation speed is a bit slow (4-5 fps I guess) but it’s perfect for testing glitches, buttons, crashes, etc… [import]uid: 10478 topic_id: 16780 reply_id: 316780[/import]

Drat!!
Can’t get the emulator to start on my Mac… will investigate later, but thanks for the info! [import]uid: 70847 topic_id: 16780 reply_id: 62853[/import]

I am trying to run on a 4.0.3 Android Emulator, and I get the [INSTALL_FAILED_MISSING_SHARED_LIBRARY] when I install… Guess I need to get a real device?! [import]uid: 109266 topic_id: 16780 reply_id: 76903[/import]

Thanks PixelEnvision for posting this. I got this working today. Very useful, although it runs rather slowly… [import]uid: 29384 topic_id: 16780 reply_id: 77150[/import]

Dear ec2,

Can you describe how did you make it? I tried many ways but always got AndroidRuntime(1610): java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: provider=network. There’s someone said that’s because there’s no suitable configSpec in the configuration, but did say how to solve it.

Thank you very much!
