Find installed apk on Nook HD

Ok, bought a Nook HD today, finally got the usb driver installed, and installed my apps with ‘adb install.name.apk’

All went fine, apks installed, but they are nowhere to be found on the Nook HD.

On my Nook Color i just did search library, and typed in the name of the apk. Doesn’t seem to work for the Nook HD?

I know my apps are installed. If I goto settings, all settings, Applications, my apps, i can see all apps, including the ones i just installed. Problem is that i cant locate them anywhere on the Nook HD, not under search, apps etc

Anyone?

You are supposed to be able to from the “Apps” screen hold down the top Volume Button and Tap where it says “Library” to bring up the “Extra” apps. But I’ve found times where my apps don’t show up there either (sometimes they do). In that case, I just use the “Search” and type in part of my app name until it finds it and I run it from the Search Screen.

@rob
Are you talking about the Nook HD?

I tried to do what you said but it doesnt show anything about extra apps.

The search doesnt bring up my apps, like the nook color does, but i know they are installed.

Sorry, I’m on a Nook Color. I’ve not had a chance to experience the new Nooks yet. I thought finding the extras was Easter Eggish on the color and certainly Google made the developer tools a major easter egg on 4.2. Lets hope this doesn’t become a trend.

Thanks! I finally managed to run the apps I installed!

Thanks rob for trying to help out. You where pretty close with your solution, but since you don’t have a Nook HD, you simply couldn’t know how it worked on the Nook HD. It doesnt matter if you’re staff or not, you can’t simply know everything.

Both of you, thanks for helping me out! [import]uid: 50459 topic_id: 34311 reply_id: 136422[/import]

Ran my first app on the Nook Color HD, and I see an big ugly white toolbar on the bottom of the screen, with a search icon and more stuff. Anyway I can get rid of that?
