Fire TV: Can't 'request' and 'release' audio focus?

Hi all,

I’m in the middle of porting an Android app over the Fire TV but am having an issue where my app does not ‘request’ and ‘release’ audio at the beginning and end of the app as described here: http://developer.android.com/training/managing-audio/audio-focus.html

Is this something Corona can even do? How are other Corona developers getting by this requirement? Any thoughts at all are appreciated -

Nick

I’m working on porting my game as well.  Is this still causing app rejections?

This is still causing Fire TV rejections. Did anyone find a solution?

You have to explicitly say in your build notes with your submission that you built with corona sdk.  That did the trick for me.   In your rejection email they mention that Corona apps are exempt, but it occurred to me that they won’t necessarily know that you build with corona.  See this image.

to be clear - the next time that I submitted, I said “please don’t reject for these two reasons because I built with corona sdk” and then I copied and pasted that text.  that did the trick
