Hi,
yesterday Google has announced that they’re changing Google Analytics for Firebase for mobile phones and I was wondering, what that means for us, developers. Will we need wait for brand new plugin from Corona team, or it will work on existing one?
I come to ask the same question…I use AdMob to monetize my apps, but I don’t use the Google Analytics plugin. Will I need to create a Firebase account, or to change anything into my apps?

Firebase is much more than just Analytics. It includes services like Invites, Storage, Messaging, Authentication, Realtime DB, and more. I am actually most excited about the Test Lab, the robo-crawler and custom tests. I would love to be able to get access to all of this from Corona.

If I had Enterprise, I’d already be writing a plugin, so hopefully someone out there already is.

Yeah, I must admit that Firebase sounds great, but that’s mean that whole work of Corona Team to prepare GA plugin was in vain, because soon it will be useless?
We had engineers watching the conference too. They are aware of this. But we’ve not had much of a chance to discuss it.
