I just recently learned corona and am looking for a simple beginners app that I could create that is publishable. I didn’t know if anybody had any ideas or some experienced advise on what I could create?

Well, looks like everyone is making flappy bird clones. You can be flappy bird clone number 100.000.000 
Haha! That is true, but that path has been trampled down. I’d rather go down the path less traveled by. haha
In general, endless side-scrollers are quite simple to build. My first game was a side-scroller and it was a nice way to learn the framework. Alternatively, you can go for some kind of simple puzzle game - with those, you can usually get away without much graphics work.
