First time app upload to App Store with or without ads

Hi all John here,

I want to upload an app to the app store for review soon, but I have a few questions that I can’t figure out.

  • Can the app be uploaded for the first time with or without an active ad plugin?
    I use Admob for advertisements, but with Admob (but also with other add providers) I have to provide an appid from the app store. I only get the appid within the Apple App Store if the app has already been approved within the App Store, right?

  • Which ATT plugin option is recommended? In the beginning I used the default available ATT plugin. The admob privacy popup is shown immediately when starting the app and after a few seconds the default ATT plugin. Now Admob also has an Admob ATT function where the ATT popup is shown directly as an overlay when clicking consent with the Admob privacy popup. The latter means that I do not need to use the default ATT plugin.

Has anyone in this forum also had these questions/uncertainties and can you help me with what I can do best to upload the app for approval?

Hello!

Yes you can upload your app for the first time with Admob ads enabled.
When your app gets approved then you can provide any info needed in Admob.

The only thing Apple reviewer will need is to see the Admob consent window first and the ATT popup later.

I followed this post and everything worked fine.
