Hi to all Corona Friends,
I am extremely happy to share that our first Corona game is not published at Google Play Store. It is called Fungivale - Hamlet’s Hunger
Basic idea is pretty simple and we wanted to use this as a learning project for our team. It still gives good overview of the visual style of our games.
Hamlet’s Hunger was my first real game which got actually published. I learned lot of things while doing but I think the result is pretty okay. Some things we had to skip due to time constraints which I would have liked to include. Our next step will be to get this available for iOS.
I can really recommend to all new game designer to start from something small. We all have our dream games which we want to make but that should not be your first project. Our decision to go for this “minigame” before main release was golden. There is so much to consider when creating a real game that unless you’ve done it before, it will hit you hard in the face. Like in many area’s in life, you need to love the grind and put in the hours. For me, this small project tought so much which for sure will make our main release codebase so much better.
Our main game for this year is aimed to be released by the end of this year and it will be quite different from this first one. Adventure game in same Fungivale imiginary world.
If you are interested, give Hamlet’s Hunger a test run and comment what you think of it.
I sure had fun coding it so hopefully you have fun playing it
