Hi, “fishies” from the sample code works fine on my iPod Touch 4 but on my iPad (1st generation iOS 5) it lets you rotate the screen many times without always having a full delay and this results in either the background going black or the fishes and background being rotated to a weird angle. Sometimes the screen is rotated by only a few degrees and you can see that the background isn’t perfectly aligned to the screen. So it seems like it isn’t delaying the rotations properly and ends up combining rotations so that you get a weird result. To replicate my problem try rotating the iPad around a lot.
Edit: I also tried SampleCode/PlatformSpecific/Fishies-iPad/ and it has the same problem…
