Just want to check something here. Will the project folder be automatically updated in Project manager when new files are added?

CPM isn’t harddrive-based, so if you want a file to be part of the project, drop it into the asset list.
That’s by design so you don’t have to be organized. 
For example, the picture below shows part of my Horse Crazy project on my hard drive – the files shown with blue arrows were not added to the asset list, so CPM doesn’t even know they exist:
if CPM was folder-based I’d have to keep all app files separate from the other files.
