Forever Lost, Cabin Escape, and Ferris Mueller all coming to Mac and Windows

Thanks to the new desktop support we are excited to be releasing all 5 of our adventure games onto Mac and Windows tomorrow ( the 1st of October ).

If anyone is interested in the process etc or anything else please just ask here and we’ll try to be as helpful as we can.

For those that are interested, we are releasing on the Mac App Store as well as itch.io - we will be releasing on a few stores specific to adventure games later as well and are looking into Steam. Sadly GOG said no to us :frowning:

We wrote a short post on our blog about this here as well - http://www.glitchgames.co.uk/forever-lost-is-coming-to-desktops/

Did GOG say why they said no?

Rob

They did, but sadly we can’t say.

Part of their rules is this -

“Any email exchanges regarding the submission are business discussions, and as such should be kept confidential. We understand that there may be a lot of emotions involved in response to our decisions, but keeping them discreet will allow us to keep healthy connection even if we pass on your title.”

Their specific reason wasn’t anything technical though, we didn’t even get to the stage where a build was requested, so I see no specific reason why a Corona developed game wouldn’t be accepted in general, just ours wasn’t.

Fair enough.

And they’re up!

Yay!  I saw this announcement in my inbox and failed to mention it on the last Corona Geek Hangout…

Congratulations and thanks for helping leading the way on desktop development.

Way to go!

Rob

Hehe, “helping lead the way”, more like “too eager to be cautious”

Thanks both of you!

No.  Give your self credit.  You’ve got five games coming out on two different desktop platforms.  I call that leading the way big time and I’m thankful for you guys learning lessons and sharing your experiences.

We hope to put together a blog post soon showing what we did and what our results have been.
