Forum "New" Topic Bug?

This is a not a Corona bug but what I think is a bug in this Forums’ software.

When I’m logged into my Corona account I can see when anything is new in the forum. When I click on a folder it will tell me the number of new Topics and new Posts since I viewed them last. I’ve noticed that the numbers posted and what was actually new don’t always match.

Take today for example. It showed that they was something new in Sample Code. I clicked on the folder and it showed 2 new topics and 2 new posts. When I clicked on the item, I only found 1 new topic with 0 replies and 3 views. After reading the new topic it showed that nothing else was new in the forum.

Has anyone else noticed this?

It seems to be only on new Topics that don’t have any replies.

Post/forum marking isn’t really easy to do, and if this is custom forum software then I really wouldn’t want to see them spend any resources on something so minor when there’s much more important stuff. I agree but it depends upon who is updating the website. I was just logging this as a “bug” to get it on the record of things to look at. If it was a choice between updating the SDK or this website, the SDK would came first.

Various different parts of the forum pages are cached. What you are most likely seeing is a slightly stale forum index (cached) and the a fresh topic index (not cached).

If this is really an issue for people I can look into it a bit, but I agree with other comments; this is fairly low priority. [import]uid: 3 topic_id: 1120 reply_id: 3047[/import]
