Frame Rate when build for xcode sim or device

Well Ive PM’d Bryan01… as he seems to be the only staff member to have shown up in the G.20 forums… just to express my dissappointment at the lack of staff presence in this forum as a whole… I would have thought our impressions/testing/problems were important. Unless I am wrong and they prefer to just lurk… but I’d much prefer a “hello, we’ll look into that”

Ingemar, can you add the devices it tested ok on?

It’s OK on:
iPad mini (iOS 7.0.2)
iPhone 3GS (iOS 5.1.1)
iPod Touch 5G (iOS 7.0.2)
iPod Touch 3G (iOS 5.1.1)

…and one more with problems:

iPod Touch 4G (iOS 6.1.3) -> This might indicate that even an iPhone 4 with 6.1.3 could have a problem?

I would think so. I will make a little Android build and test it on my Ouya and a Galaxy S2… Let´s see how this works out

Ouya seems to be running pretty good, I got no information about fps but it looks really smooth and the physics are working as expected.

Did anybody test on iPad 3 as that is the device I’m having issues with

3GS/IOS6 seems to work ok

I can confirm that iPad 1 (iOS 5.1.1) has the same problem.

My iPad Wifi+3G (3rd generation, 64GB, iOS 7.0.2) works though.

Sure, where do I look it up? I did not get any response yet, except for “bug report sent” on the submission page.

You should get an automated email confirmation to your Corona developer account email-address with the Case Number relatively quick…

Well, the last time I sent a bug report is more than a year ago and it took a couple of hours before I got an “automated” response :wink:

It might be faster because of your Enterprise account, but I am not sure. I´ll wait a little bit longer and send another one out

@richard770 Which version of the simulator are you currently using?  Also, I would like to understand how your code is structured so we can do some profiling and analysis. If you have additional sample code you can share, we would appreciate it.

@bryan01… Myself, cinetek & ingenar all have projects showing same issue on same devices.
Cinetek has submitted sample code via a bug as i cant share mine at the moment.

@bryan01 please tell us you have read this thread… Its full of very detailed info we have worked hard to provide

I’ll summarise

Apps that runs at 60fps when built with graphics 1 build 2034… Suffer major performance issues when built with graphics 2… But only on iphone 4 & ipad 1… We have tested other devices… Even a 3gs runs ok
