Why does an animated sequence work perfectly in the simulator but when I run it on the device the frames seem to be out of register?
Corona Simulator Version 2018.3272 (2018.4.19)
TextWrangler version 5.5.2 (397016)
iOS11.3
Xcode Version 9.3 (9E145)

1. What is out of register?
Do you mean, Out of sync? Playing at wrong speed? Dropping frames?
Hello, thanks for your interest and answer. When a sprite sheet is made for animation, register marks are placed to prevent the frames from being misaligned or overlapping, both on the x and y axis.
These marks are removed once the sheet is finished. The marks are similar to those used in offset printing. There are different types. That’s not the point.
I tested the sprite sheet in the simulator and it works perfectly. I have also tried the animation in Adobe Photoshop before creating the sprite sheet. The animation is perfect.
Why are the frames misaligned when they run on the device?
I have an iPad Air 64 GB.
Can you make and share an example that shows this issue?
I’ve never seen misalignment, but I suspect if you show us in a tiny project we’ll be able to help debug it.
