free image galery?

Hi All,

Does anyone know where I can get Royalty Free images (Preferably High Quality) for backgrounds?

I need these for my Apple App currently in development.

When you say Royalty Free are you meaning “Free”, or “Pay once” (which is what Royalty Free really means)?

For the latter, just google “stock photos”.

Try searching the forums for “opengameart” (all one word) and you should find that website (can’t recall .com or .org) and others that forum members have used for game-art (both free and pay-once/no future royalties).

OpenGameArt is http://opengameart.org

They have lots of goodies, but be aware of how each item is licensed.  You can also get free art at Open Clip Art Library (will need to google it) or Clickr (http://www.clker.com/clipart-clickr.html – has most of OCAL’s stuff). 

With the art at OpenGameArt, make sure you understand and comply with the license agreements for each piece.
