Is there a way that I can detect the frequency of a sound that is being detected by the devices microphone? I essentially want a music tuner but I don’t know if it is even possible through corona sdk now.

We do not have API’s for that.

So theres no possible way to do it through Corona?

Yes, use Corona Native and integrate a suitable library or code the additional functionality yourself if you have the expertise.
