From 6502 to LUA

Hi all.

I’ve been enjoying working with Corona SDK for a little while now.   I’ve been designing and producing games for 20  years.    My first game was on the Atari 800 computer, Pyramid Run!   I only did a tiny bit of coding but that launched my career as a 6502 programmer.   I made a bunch of educational games for the Apple II and old 8088 machines.   In the early 90s I went to work for SEGA and produced a bunch of games, including Ecco the Dolphin.  Since then I’ve made many games on various platforms.   Its been fun and satisfying but I haven’t programmed for almost 20 years.

Now I’m back with rolled up sleeves and after looking around a lot I finally settled on Corona SDK!

I love old style side scroll games so I am going to make one!  I will partner with my friend Zsolt who was the original Pixel artist on the Ecco games.  He’s the best and great to work with.

So this is my hi to you all.  And I will apologize in advance for the pending stupid questions I will be posting in the near future.

Thanks for reading

LLAP!

Welcome!

I remember Ecco the Dolphin - think I was about 10 when it first came out, for the Mega Drive IIRC? Great to have such an experienced guy from the game industry join our community!

Looking forward to see what you and your friend come up with, sounds like a great team
