Hi, guys. Got a new question for you.
How can I access the front camera on an iPhone 4? The media.show() command only provides access to the back camera, right?
Thanks! [import]uid: 13720 topic_id: 5485 reply_id: 305485[/import]

excellent question! maybe there’s an update since 2011? is there an equivalent to: UIImagePickerControllerCameraDeviceFront in lua? I can’t seem to find one so I’m doubting it, but it would be great! THANKS!
If media.show() doesn’t give you the little icon to switch cameras, then Starter or Pro would not be able to do it. I don’t know if that’s something easy to add to the existing camera picker or not. Your best bet is to goto:

thanks, Rob… I’m doing an app that partially depends on the resolution of the camera so if you shoot with the wrong camera the image is twice as big and there’s no way to detect for camera front that I can find. yes, the switcher is available, but the app is for kids with various stages of Autism so I want to make taking pictures of themselves as quick and painless and intuitive as possible. I asked you personally in a couple other forums about sending these photos that gauge their perceptions of facial expressions (e.g., to a therapist) via email. I solved it by sending a screen capture instead so you can disregard them. THANKS! I will indeed file the request to feedback.
an equivalent to UIImagePickerControllerCameraDeviceFront would be fantastic!
