Full Support on images and photos capturing/uploading/downloading

Dear Corona team,

There is a strong request from my clients to create an app that has the ability to

  1. take a photo
  2. do something with the photo
  3. upload to share it
    The lack of these features always makes people assume Corona SDK is only for game.

However, current API only allow us to capture poor quality images.
We also couldn’t callback the progress percentage from upload/download event.
There is also no good solution to deal with photos in iOS photo album.
I am really anticipated to see Corona SDK could support high quality and high resolution photos upload/download features soon.

Is there a way to get the image in full/high resolution image? the display.save method only saves the bit that is on-screen, is there a way to save the bits those are off-screen too? Any progress on this since then?
