g-force meter.

I found this project on github g-force meter and since it’s in java which from what I understand is similar to Lua I though it could be cool to see a sample in Corona.

I’m too new for such a project so I though maybe someone with java background could write it in lua?

I have done research on what the iOS devices are capable of and it seems like they can mesure up to 2G on each axis. I found some questions on other obj-c dev forums about this topic too but no solutions on how to do it. From what I understand do you mesure G’s by calculating the sqrt of each axis and then calculate the sqrt of them together. I’m not too sure about if I understood this correctly so if anyone could explain it to me how g-force works?

Also, I read that by combining all sensors in coremotion then the reading would be more accurate, so basically if the accelerometer and the gyro combined it could actually work to get good g-force values?

So if this is an accurate assumption then it is possible to mesure g-values when riding a motorcycle, get acceleration g-force or value from a looping airplane, rollercoaster etc…?

@carlos, I saw your gyro sample and though maybe you could figure this one out?
