After almost 10 years, Gabby Tabs is finally available on the Apple and Android app stores! A big thanks to Corona and the forum community for making it possible to get it out there.

Gabby Tabs is a kid, parent and teacher friendly AAC app for children with communication difficulties. My wife and I originally wrote Gabby Tabs for our non-verbal, 4 year old, autistic son to give him a voice. The first version had 3 buttons, Yes, No, and Bathroom. Hearing his “voice” for the first time was an amazing experience.

We had an idea to sell the app, but hardware limitations and barriers to entry kept us back. Now, 10 years later, with app stores, tablets, and Corona, we finally got it out.

Thanks again, couldn’t have picked up Corona so fast without the community support!

That’s awesome Chris - I have seen apps like this before and I always think what a difference they could make to children with communication difficulties. It’s always crazy to think that this kind of thing really didn’t exist until so recently.
