have my great game app idea, and it would be about 400% more interesting with game center support. been scouring the corona website, documentation and this forum for a good 20+ minutes, and i still can’t figure out what’s happening with game center.
i am pretty sure i came across posts where corona people said it was a priority, but find it confusing that it is not even mentioned in the roadmap at all. so, basically… what is going on with game center?
and, if there is an official statement on it, i would recommend adding it to the roadmap at least. as game center is a non-deletable apple default app, i would think it deserves a mention there.
yes, i read through that entire thread. but, no official answer there, i saw, from the corona developers. so, still, no clear picture of what is happening with game center in corona. again, looking at the roadmap - it’s not there [import]uid: 35222 topic_id: 6144 reply_id: 21124[/import]
Here’s my opinion on the matter. I’m here because of Game Center. I don’t know if GameSalad or Corona will get it first, so I’m basically waiting to see which company wins the race. Game Center is a major feature. Customers look for it.
Corona managed to add in-app purchases, so I don’t think it’s that much more difficult to add Game Center. Which company will add it first, GameSalad or Ansca Mobile? If it goes in Corona first, that’s pretty much then I could try upgrading my GameSalad games. If GameSalad gets it first, I’d probably go back and update many of my old apps on that platform.
So, it’s the American way… commerce based on healthy competition. [import]uid: 13264 topic_id: 6144 reply_id: 24908[/import]
