game physics code problem

HI,

i,m creating a very simple game for android and iphone in corona sdk and i,m new in corona.

i am creating cycle game and i need to run my cycle when i press the button cycle will run smothly and when i unpress cycle stop slowly like real.

i need to make my cycle like real i don,t have experience in game physics.

when i press my button cycle will start slowly and increase its speed but i also need to lock its speed.

what i really need like real cycle run and stop smoothly.
