I’ve been developing a game using an HTC MyTouch 4g and EVO 4g phones for testing. They run well on those phones, but I wanted to test on a tablet; so I got a google Nexus 7. And it’s a super-slow. I even tried removing 90% of the main update loop and it was still a slide show, so something else is going on. Corona should run on a Nexus 7, right? Any ideas? It defo runs fine on Nexus 7 as my son has one, tried my 2 games on it and they where fine (not all buttons where exactly in the right place mind you).

It doesn’t seem to be related to FPS. (i.e. I’m receiving a reasonable number of “enter frame” events). Also, one time I launched the app and it ran perfectly. This is weird. [import]uid: 104618 topic_id: 31081 reply_id: 124401[/import]
I still haven’t figured out what was causing it, but it seemed to be an intermittent problem where maybe 80% of the time it would run terribly and then occasionally run fine.
I was running on the most recent stable build, but then tried the most recent daily build and the problem seems to have gone away. So it was something on Corona’s end that I guess they’ve fixed recently?
Edit: Or at least it was some weird issue that I was somehow triggering that other’s weren’t. Also, it runs faster then ever (even when it was running “well”) on the new build. [import]uid: 104618 topic_id: 31081 reply_id: 124410[/import]
