game status: waiting for review

sorry if i am posting on wrong section. this is itune connect question.

i submited my game developmed with Corona to itune connect, the status showing " wating for review".
is this mean Apple started review or i need to do something to triger Apple to review?
how long it takes typically for Apple to approve a iPad game ?

thanks

Your app goes through several phases:

Waiting for Upload
Waiting for Review
In Review
Processing for App Store or Rejected
Ready for Sale

My apps have been averaging 7 days to go from Waiting for Review to In Review. This is automatic. So just relax and wait. I know for my first time, it was like waiting on Christmas and waiting to see the Doctor at the same time.

Now my last submission only took 3 days. Surprised the bajeebies out of me.

Once it goes into review, it can take anywhere from a couple of hours to a couple of days. If they start the review process later in the day, you can expect it to roll over until the next day. I think updates get reviewed faster than first versions. My first game was in review for 6 hours.

Finally once its “Ready for sale”, it can take up to 24 hours to actually go life, show up in search and so on.

Hi robmiracle ,
Thank you for your info:
Here is my experience of game submission:

1)Submitted/uploaded my paid game (First game) on Sept 12:
Get email from Apple: Status is “Waiting for Review”

2)Sept 16 : get email and status become: In review

3)Sept 16 :Processing for App store

4)Sept 16 : got email “Pending contract”

5)Sept 16 : got email “Ready for Sale”

Till now Sept 20, in iTune Connect, status showing "“Pending contract”, And I did not see my game in Itune/Appstore yet.

Sept 18, Send the Canadian TAX form via post to Apple, maybe this is causing the game is still not showing in Appstore, until Apple got my TAX form ?

Well I can’t speak for Canada, but for the US I did all the contract bits in iTunes Connect’s “Contracts, Taxes and Banking” area. I didn’t have to mail in anything physical.

I’m in Australia and had an extra tax bit like I think the Canadians do. (We both have GST.)

For me all I had to do was photograph my documents carefully and clearly, so it looked like a scan more or less, then upload them.

Genius Scan has a free version as is what I used
