Hello all,
I have contacted Anscamobile with a couple of questions 3 weeks ago but never got any reply, so I decided to post them here as well, hoping that somebody can shed some light
- As far as I understand, buying the sdk gives us the option to build for the app store, but what happens if we decide to not renew?
Will we hold distribution rights for the apps we have already compiled before the Corona license expiration?
- We have plans for a number of apps to be developed this year, and committing to the Corona sdk will be a big design choice for us.
Since every time we build an app the simulator contacts the Anscamobile server(s) to check for license status (as far as I can tell) what happens should the company close down/go bankrupt (hopefully not!
just exploring scenarios)?
Will we be given the chance to build apps without the license-server connection?
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Sorry, one last question that popped into my head
:
- I see from your homepage it says “99$ introductory price” … since this is a subscription based service, does it mean Corona can jump up in price at any moment, and people that started with the 99$ price would have to pay more in order to support their apps with a yearly license renewal?
