Get pixel color of an arbitrary pixel in an image

Hello everyone. I have been searching for a while to find an answer to this problem; maybe I’m just missing something. If I have an image loaded, is there a way to specify a coordinate in that image and have the color of that pixel returned? If not directly possible, how are images stored? Are they an array of pixels, or just some object that we can’t access much of through code?

Any updates on this? There was mention of modifying pixels in the photoshop app, and that was some time ago. [import]uid: 67614 topic_id: 5433 reply_id: 40013[/import]

I’d really like a way to tell pixel color or luminosity on an image. this isn’t possible at the moment is it? [import]uid: 13522 topic_id: 5433 reply_id: 40248[/import]

Did anyone ever find a way to get the color value for a pixel in an image? Seems like an odd thing not to have available.
